Stone Mountain's Christmas Show

We went to see Stone Mountain’s Christmas show Monday night December 17 with Michelle and her Daughter Shantae. It was fun until it became dark and when I was getting ready to board the train I don’t know what happened but I ran into something that I couldn’t see. I bent up my foot rest so much that I couldn’t control my chair. My Mom carries the tool that lets you loosen up the brackets on my foot rest, so she moved it off of the driving petal. I think I bent up or broke something. We were able to go on after my Mom positioned it where it was half way stable. We went on to board the train. We saw some real pretty lights along the way. Then we went to a Christmas carol show. Men and ladies were dancing and singing Christmas carols. They performed beautifully. Then we went next door and saw another Christmas carol show. We saw a 4D movie called The Polar Express. In that particular theater snow was really falling down, and we could really feel the wind. They shot water in our face. They shot off fireworks also. They had a laser show on the mountain. We sat by the barn fire and watched the laser show. I got my picture taken with the Polar Bear and the Snow Angel. I really enjoyed hanging out and doing special holiday activities with my friends. Beauty has to do one more job on December 23. She has to do an Eastern Indian Wedding job. After this job Beauty will be on Pregnancy leave.

Candy Bring Santa Into Snellville And Giving Carriage Rides McDonough

We took my horse Candy to Snellville to bring in Santa for the tree lighting. Candy was very traffic safe. She did very good at her first tree lighting job. My care provider Michelle and her Daughter Shantae came along. It was a very wintery night but we really enjoyed it. The promoters provided hot Chocolate. The school children from Snellville sang Christmas carols.
This picture of Candy was taken at McDonough Square giving carriage rides with Santa one Sunday. She is very traffic safe even without the orange cones.

Thanksgiving And 2 Best Friends Passed Away

We got the call Sunday morning November 18 that Mr. Lerch passed away at 4:30. Mr. Lerch passed away while he was sleeping. They checked his pulse, and he didn’t have one. That was the sign he was not breathing. His organs and heart had stopped functioning. At least I saw him before he passed away. The funeral is Tuesday November 20. The visitation was Monday November 19. I wish it wasn’t his time to die, but I guess if God calls you home you don’t have a choice. I have had 2 of my best friends die. I don’t know what was God’s intension to let my best friends Les and Mr. Lerch die.
they finally put the man who killed Les in jail. They had a report on fox 5 news today Monday November 12 at noon. I have copied the news report.
Franklin is his name.
Franklin Benson, 47, goes before a Newton County Magistrate judge Monday morning to face charges that he murdered his girlfriend and then dismembered her body. He was arrested late Sunday after GBI agents and crime lab technicians cracked the strange case.

It began October 30 when some dogs found a human foot in some woods behind a vacant house off Georgia Highway 212 and Island Shoals Road in Newton County. Searchers soon discovered another foot, some legs and a hand.

It turns out Leslyan Williams, 49, of Decatur was reported missing about the same time by some out-of-state relatives. With that missing report and the remains, investigators soon came up with boyfriend Franklin Benson's name. They learned Benson runs a car care business near the crime scene.

"Investigators were able to make a connection with the location where the body was found and two individuals," GBI spokesman John Bankhead told 11Alive News Sunday night. He said crime lab technicians were then able to link up the severed hand and the victim. They obtained fingerprints from the remains and compared them to the victim's fingerprints and made a match," Bankhead explained. Investigators will continue to search for Williams' head and torso, hoping an autopsy will determine the exact cause of death.

Suspect Franklin Benson is now being held in the Newton County Jail awaiting his Monday first court appearance. Meanwhile, investigators are asking anyone with information on either Williams or Benson to call the GBI Tip Line at 1-800-597-TIPS (8477).

I am heart broken to hear that someone that stupid chose to kill Les.
I am hoping they will keep him behind bars all his life. He does not deserve to be let go.
It is beyond SICK!!!!!!

We had turkey giblet gravy, corn bread dressing, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, cranberry sauce, acorn squash, peas, bunny rabbits made from black olives and stuffed with cranberry orange cream cheese, dinner rolls, and pumpkin pie with whip cream. We toasted with sparkling red grape juice our Thanksgiving for so many wonderful friends and family and our dearly departed wonderful friends Ms. Les and Bob Lerch who is now with our heavenly Father.

Got Winter Hay

Early this morning we went to get some hay for the horses to eat this winter. Thanks to Al, Susan and Neil for putting up all the hay in our barn. Beauty is having to stay in a pasture all by herself because she kicked Teddy hard enough to cut in the middle of his chest. She won't get another chance to beat up Teddy or Hank because she is in a separate pasture all by herself. The vet is coming out on Monday to give Beauty her Pregnancy shots, Teddy his routine shots, Candy her routine shots, and Hank his routine shots.
Peace Out!!!!
That's my news for today!!!!

New Horse News

I have a new beautiful looking mare. She and Beauty are not pasture friends. Right now Hank and Candy are in the pasture together. Teddy has to be behind the barn because of his breathing problems. Beauty is with Teddy but guess what? Beauty kicked Teddy and put a bleeding cut on his chest last night. My Mom put Beauty on the other side in the morning, but it gets too hot on that side in the pasture in the afternoon. The vet is coming out to give our horses shots. He starts giving Beauty her Pregnancy shots. I can’t wait until the driving lessons start back. My hip needs a hip joint injection.
Peace Out, Heather Rose Brooks

Interesting

I hope my Mom comes back with a new horse Candy. Last night I spent the night at my friend's house. I slept very good. This morning when I came back home my right arm started spasming. I have no idea what triggerd it. My friend who is an Emergency contact LuRae was contacted by my care provider. LuRae asked what medication I was taking and my care provider told her. I sure didn't need more pain on top of my left hip pain.
Peace Out!!!!!!

Yesterday's Massage

I had a wonderful needed massage. I love it when she goes very deep into my muscles in my left hip and leg. I really needed some deep muscle work. It felt so relaxing. I tried leaving my body through my brain while she was loosen up some muscles that was very tight.
I went on and slightly close my eyes to feel her energy.
That was a good session.
That was my massage report.

Interesting Trip

I am going to South Carolina with my horse Beauty to do 2 Eastern Indian Wedding jobs. This will be her first job. I really hope she does well.
Beauty is pregnant so she will be getting her first round of shots at the end of July. The baby is due in February. I hope she doesn't stress out over the trip to South Carolina. My service dog Pancakes went to Camp Paradise Pet Resort so they can keep him and take care of him while we are gone. My other horse Hank is just a pasture buddy, because since he fractured his elbow he can't pull carriages. That is why Beauty is taking Hank's job and doing Indian Wedding jobs, American Wedding jobs, and Beauty also does therapeutic driving lessons at Driving Magic in Hoschton Georgia.
That is my horse and dog talk.
